About Us

Energitix founded by Bijan Pourkarimi, P.Eng. in 2003. Bijan is a professional engineer and brings with him over 30 years of utility and energy management experience. He has a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of British Columbia. Prior to forming Energitix, Bijan held various positions at Terasen Gas Inc. (Acquired by FortisBC). His roles included responsibility for energy utilization and energy efficiency in the commercial, institutional, and industrial sectors.

At Energitix, we are focused on helping our clients reduce their operating costs and improving their bottom line by reducing and managing their energy costs.

We have successfully completed numerous projects for BC Hydro Power Smart and Fortis BC and continue to work on various projects for these clients.

We use energy efficient material and equipment where possible, such as LED lamps and ENERGY STAR office equipment. We use water efficient fixtures. We use electronic files and cloud computing in our communication and document management to minimize use of paper. We conduct meetings via teleconferencing and videoconferencing to reduce travel, and we encourage staff to telecommute to reduce commuting.
